• Mount Kinabalu
  The mountain and its surroundings feature a huge variety of flora, and is one of the world's most important biological sites.

• Tanjung Simpang Mengayau - The Tip of Borneo
  This dramatic headland is situated in the northern-most tip of BORNEO, the third largest island in the world, after Greenland and New Guinea.

• Sepilok Orang Utan Sandakan
  The Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre was established in 1964 to return orphaned "apes back to the wild.

• Poring Hot Spring Ranau
  The natural hot spring is perfect to soothe tired and aching muscles after the long climb up Mount Kinabalu.

• Tunku Abdul Rahman Park Kota Kinabalu
  It comprises 49 square kilometers of which two-thirds are sea, and the rest is coral reefs and five islands.

• Sipadan Island Semporna
  Sipadan is the only oceanic island in Malaysia, rising 2,000 feet or 600m from the seabed.

• Pulau Tiga
  The Pulau Tiga Park comprises three islands-Pulau Tiga, Pulau Kalampunian Besar and Pulau Kalamunian Damit situated in the Kimanis Bay, off the west coast of Sabah.

• Padas River
  One of the internationally best-recognised white water river in Malaysia is the Padas River in Sabah with its Grade 3 and 4 rapids offering some of the most interesting courses for rafters.

• Kinabatangan River
  It is the second longest river in Malaysia, with a length of 560 kilometers from its headwaters in the mountains of southwest Sabah, to its outlet at the Sulu Sea, east of Sandakan.

All rates are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). All rates are valid at the time of publication and are subject to change without notice.

Items and services included for each tour programme are listed in the sections pertaining to that individual tour.

Accident insurance cover, air fares (unless stated in specific itinerary), items of personal nature such as laundry, telephone charges, excess baggage fees and meals ((unless stated in specific itinerary), tips to porters, bellman and local guides, hotel parking charges and other items not specifically mentioned as included in the itinerary.

All reservations must be made at least 28 days before departure. Flight reservations to Kota Kinabalu are solely the responsibility of our guests and confirmation must be made beforehand.

Reply will be by a confirmation of services through fax or email within three working days. This confirmation will also serve as pro forma invoice.

A deposit of 50% of the total tour price is required to secure booking. No reservation will be considered as confirmed without the payment of a deposit. Full payment in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) must be received 14 days before arrival. Should reservation be made less than 14 days before arrival, full payment must be received immediately upon confirmation of reservation. Failing to comply with this condition may result in cancellation of all reservations without prior notice.

For cancellations received by Mountain Trails Tours & Travel Sdn Bhd that qualify for refunds, the following cancellation charges will apply in addition to any other fees charged by the relevant hotels or other suppliers:

14 - 28 days : 10% of tour prices
07 - 14 days : 50% of tour prices
Less than 7 days : 100% of tour prices

Cancellation must be submitted in writing. We will always work on your behalf to obtain refunds where they are available.

No refund in full or part will be given after the trip has started. No refund in full or part either by choice or circumstances will be given for services included in the itinerary which are not utilized. If it is believed that a refund is appropriate under these terms and conditions (including cancellation by a provider of service) the applicant must request the refund in writing and support the application with appropriate documents, within one month of return home. International refunds can take up to 3 months.

We strongly advise that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover all aspects of your holiday including the loss of deposit through cancellation, loss of baggage and personal items, personal injury or death, inclement weather clause, pre-existing medical condition waiver. Mountain Trails Tours & Travel will assist you with the purchase of travel insurance if requested.

Please ensure that you have valid travel documents and appropriate visas (if applicable) prior to arrival.

You represent and warrant that you are fit to travel and partake on your selected tours and that your conduct will not impair the safety of or cause any inconvenience to other people on the tour. Any medical condition, special medical requirement, pregnancy, disability and/or dietary request must be reported to Mountain Trails Tours & Travel when making reservation. Medical certificates confirming fitness to travel may be required before the reservation is accepted.

Mountain Trails Tours & Travel reserve the right to decline anyone whose condition, in our opinion, may affect the health and safety of other people on the tour. Best efforts will be made to assist in the provision of any requests or requirements where possible, but we cannot be held liable in relation to the inability to provide such request/requirement, medical, dietary or otherwise.

Due to strenuous physical activity often involved during certain tours and the lack of proper facilities for the disabled, selected itineraries are not recommended for those with physical disabilities. You are advised to take out insurance covering medical treatment.

Mountain Trails Tours & Travel act as agents for some services provided by operators herein and cannot be held liable for any of those providing services listed or any other services incidental thereto. Therefore, all bookings with Mountain Trails Tours & Travel are subject to terms and conditions and limitations imposed by airlines, hoteliers, and other service providers. Baggage and personal effects are your own risks and it is your responsibility to obtain insurance against loss or damage.

Mountain Trails Tours & Travel and the operators involved in any tour shall be exempt from all liability for losses or additional expenses in respect or any detention, delay, loss, damage, sickness, or injury, respective of the cause, including strikes, war, quarantine and whether or not directly or indirectly caused by any service provided or by a service provider, or by any property used or utilized by a service provider.

Mountain Trails Tours & Travel reserve the right to correct any errors, prices or omissions of information prior to final payment being received by Mountain Trails Tours & Travel. Prices are only guaranteed upon Final Payment. It is also expressly declared that Mountain Trails Tours & Travel shall have the sole and absolute discretion to decline, accept or retain any person as a member of any tour, to cancel, alter or shorten the duration of any tour in the event of force majeure, hostilities, accident of other circumstances beyond the control of the company which render it necessary in the company's opinion that such steps be taken. The company should be relieved from all liabilities and obligations whatsoever resulting therefrom.
